About Megan

Yoga Instructor, Newburgh Yoga Shala

Student to Teacher Journey

Megan Graham (she/her) began her yoga journey in 2011 and quickly became captivated by how the practice helped her quiet her mind and reconnect with her body. In 2016, she deepened her study through a six-month immersion with Jody Domerstad, exploring the rich history, philosophy, and anatomy of yoga. She completed her 200-hour teacher training shortly after and has continued her education through numerous trainings and workshops ever since.
Megan believes that each person is their own best guide, and that yoga is ultimately a practice of connection and self-discovery.

Teaching Style & Influences

In a yang-driven world, Megan incorporates somatic techniques, and yin yoga into her classes to help students slow down and reconnect inward. She is deeply interested in how yoga can support nervous system regulation and emotional balance.
Years of studying yoga philosophy and time spent in India have inspired her to keep exploring the endless depths of this ancient practice.

Additional Interests
