Testimonials

  • A Deep Sense of Commitment

“Engaging in the actual program and having that interaction with the teachers have made it even more insightful. They have demonstrated a deep sense of commitment and love for what they do as well as a wealth of knowledge. Pursuing a TT program online has been very rewarding for me as it has been deepening my level of commitment to the practice, making me more accountable to me and moving me outside of my comfort zone. No doubt I have experienced a transformation through this program. I would say it is definitely worth the time and investment.”

    Judy B.

  • Profound Growth

“I am a different person now than when I started the program and I thank all the amazing instructors and other teacher trainees at the Shala for my growth. I am more flexible, strong, educated, and driven than I ever was. I have gained respect for my practice and I am so excited to share my journey and teach others.”

    D. Laiso

  • New Found Appreciation & Respect For Yoga

"Through the teacher training at Newburgh Yoga Shala you will learn to grow in your own practice and have a new found appreciation and respect for the practice of yoga. I will be forever grateful for my experience in the 200-hour teacher training at Newburgh Yoga Shala."

    Kristen O.

  • Passion for Practice

“This training has deepened my passion for the practice by providing the support and understanding needed before teaching others. I I am so grateful to have been apart of this program and to have met such lovely people who share similar interests. Being able to support each other throughout our journeys is something you cannot always experience from just any online or in person teacher training. The Shala has become a home to me.”

    Danielle

  • I was not prepared for the daily revelations I would experience through teacher training

“I was not prepared for the daily revelations I would experience through teacher training at the Shala. The Shala holds steadfast to the tradition of yoga, a tradition that is part of a much larger and multi-faceted philosophy of life. Within this philosophy, truth is the self. Each lecture, vinyasa, smile, or pause, has provided a beautiful turquoise door for my personal practice, my truth, to journey with me outside into the world.“

    Sally S.

“The reverence to the practice presented by the teachers was truly transformational. Other aspects of the teacher training that will remain with me are the devotion to tradition and the various aspects of a well-rounded practitioner” Ilana
