In perfect balance with nature, Okreblue is a wellness destination aimed to restore and deepen your connection with mind, body and soul. Okreblue has been created and passionately developed for over 13 years, on land that has belonged to Angelo’s family for over a century. Far removed from the busier tourist hotspots and modern developments on some parts of the Greek Islands, Sasy and Angelo have purposefully preserved the natural landscape of the family land. Okreblue has been developed with minimal interference and a deep respect for the surrounding Elements.
Every step behind the creation and the ongoing operation of Okreblue is considered a gesture, an offering, an opportunity to serve. At Okreblue, it is clear that Yoga is more than what we do on the mat. The actions we take off the mat impact the world around us. The spirit of Okreblue demonstrates how we can all have a positive impact and create a better world, a world that we can be proud of. No matter where you are from or what you do, whether you are new to Yoga or an experienced Yogi completing an advanced Teacher Training, an experience at Okreblue will inspire you to take positive action!

The deep respect and care for nature and the local community underpins every aspect of the design, development, management and ongoing operation at Okreblue. We are proud to mention just a few of the key initiatives that underpin our sustainability strategy
Okreblue’s organic gardens supply the majority of ingredients in the Carretta restaurant. The rest of the ingredients are sourced locally (on Paros, or wider-Greece) to travel and the carbon footprint. Food is up-cycled to minimize waste in the kitchen and all scraps are composted to nourish and grow the organic gardens
We offer filtered water to all our guests and encourage minimal use of one-off plastics. Our facilities strictly adhere to recycling all plastics when necessary
Shower water is recycled and used to water the trees onsite and we use biodegradable soaps in our bathrooms and laundry.
Our recent buildings are sustainably designed and built. This includes the use of recycled local tires to create the buoyant floors in one our Yoga Shalas. The new eco-deluxe rooms are made entirely from natural materials, such as clay, mud, wood, stones and hay from the surrounding environment.
Okreblue’s commitment to continually improving its footprint is ongoing. Every year new initiatives are introduced to help Okreblue increase its sustainability and leave an increasingly positive footprint on the surrounding environment.

tay and sleep in comfort at Okreblue in one of our simple and rustic accommodation options. Inspired by the elements and the muses of Greek Mythology, the rooms are open, naturally lit and purposefully minimal to simplify your experience on retreat. Most of the rooms face the seaside and are a stone’s throw away from Filizi beach, with unencumbered access to the velvet waters of the Aegean Sea. Perfect for a sunrise dip!

Our food philosophy centres around local, organic wholefoods. Much of the produce is harvested daily from our own organic garden. We emphase minimal waste in the Kitchen. Ingredients are frequently up-cylcled and scraps are composted to optimise the produce from the land and minimise our impact on the environment.
Our cuisine is based on ancient Ayurvedic principles, emphasizing wellbeing, balance and bliss in the body. Plant-based dishes, fusing exotic Indian flavors with the tastes and character of traditional Greek cuisine.
Suresh, our resident Ayurvedic chef from Goa. Suresh learned the magic of Greek cuisine and together with Elvira, who is the goddess of pastries and sugar free desserts they take care of the delicious meals at Caretta Lounge Restaurant.
The kitchen takes great pride in creating meals with complete taste profiles that tantalize the taste buds and leave the body and soul satiated, nourished and energized.

I started practicing yoga in 2002 when I signed up for a PE yoga class. I immediately felt most at home (in life) practicing yoga, and later meditation. I've completed trainings with the Brooklyn Yoga School (where my understanding of yoga and its influence on my life blossomed beyond the asana practice to more of a happiness practice) and The Shala (where I met Bibi!).
I have held the role of yoga teacher for over 10 years now, and along the way added meditation guide. I also teach mindfulness at Google.
Currently, I’m most interested in the intersection of mindfulness and racial justice. I’ve been blessed to learn from and be inspired by many, many great guides, mentors, and teachers, and I’m humbly eager to share what’s been shared with me.
