Ashtanga Yoga offers a structured approach to yoga, which makes it easy to establish a regular practice. In this course Audrey Rose will guide you in building the first half of the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga - Yoga Chikitsa.
The primary series is a great foundation for any yoga practice as it relies on simple instruction, coordination and breath control. By repeating and building on the same sequence weekly, your body & mind will become familiar with the postures and the transitions between postures, leading to you to develop muscle memory.
You will walk away feeling confident in the sequence and the coordination of breath and movement, which helps to calm the mind and deepen the mind/body connection.
This course is for beginners and for anyone seeking to learn the Ashtanga method. By the end of the course you will have a strong foundation to build upon whether you take that into the mysore room or into any of our led classes.
